Jula to open its first stores in Poland

Jula, a Swedish multimarkets chain, intends to begin its expansion on the Polish market. The company intends to open establishments in retail parks built by the
IKEA Centre Group and
Helical Poland among others. The first two stores are to open in November 2011 in the Targowek shopping centre in Warsaw and the Janki centre near the capital. More are planned in Wroclaw and in Gliwice in Europa Centralna shopping centre, where Jula will take up around 3,000 m
2, in 2012. The company also plans to open stores in Gdansk, Szczecin, Lodz and Lublin, among other places, as Daniel Adamiuk, the country manager of Jula Poland told
Retail Update Poland.
In addition to its regular DIY range, Jula also offers small domestic appliances, sports and office equipment, electronics goods and a wide range of work clothes. Poland is the third market, after Sweden and Norway, on which the company intends to develop its chain.
