2011-09-09
One fifth of Poles surveyed by TNS OBOP for the
Lidl discount chain do not buy fish. Only 1% are interested in how fish are caught and 8% pay attention to the place and country of origin of fish products.
Less than one third of the surveyed individuals are concerned with whether the fish they buy come from fish farms or environmentally friendly fishing methods. Freshness is the most important factor when buying fish for 63% of the surveyed individuals, while about half look foremost at the price and 27% at taste.
The survey was carried out on a group of 1,500 Poles aged 15 or older between 4-7 August 2011.
