Amica: sales in Poland down 6.5% in Q1-Q3 2011

Amica Wronki had sales revenues of PLN 403.6m (€91m) in Poland in Q1-Q3 2011, a 6.5% year-on-year decrease. Meanwhile, sales in Russia were up 50.6% to PLN 186.5m (€42.1m), and that market increased its share of revenues by 5.4 percentage points from Q1-Q3 2010 to 18.3% after the first three quarters of 2011.

Retail Update Poland previously informed, in October Amica’s CEO Jacek Rutkowski said that the producer expects its sales in Russia to surpass PLN 300m (€67.7m) in 2011, compared to PLN 213.6m (€48.2m) in 2010. T he company sees large possibilities for development on the Russian market, where it has still not entered all the distribution channels.
Amica’s sales also increased in Germany in Q1-Q3 2011, by 5.4% year on year to PLN 206.3m (€46.5m).
In Q1-Q3 2011, the producer had consolidated revenues of PLN 1.02bn (€230.1m), a 5.7% year-on-year increase, while net profit was up 188% to PLN 20.4m (€4.6m). In 2010, Amica had consolidated revenues of PLN 1.36bn (€306.7m) and a PLN 15.1m (€3.4m) net profit.
Amica also recently leased out a 30,000 m² warehouse in Niepruszewo (Wielkopolskie voivodship), about 50 kilometres from its plant in Wronki and near the A2 motorway, that is to serve as a central nationwide distribution centre, according to Jones Lang LaSalle.
