Jakubiak launching pub chain
2011-12-21
Marek Jakubiak, owner of the
Browar Ciechan and
Lwowek Slaski regional breweries, is launching a pub chain named Pub Ciechan. The first establishment opened this month in the basement of the brewery in Ciechanow (Mazowieckie voivodship), which also has a music club named Stara Lezakownia next to it. Mr Jakubiak then wants to enter the Warsaw market, where he is looking for locations, and later on other cities across Poland.
The new pub in Ciechanow measures 160 m² and has the capacity of up to 70 customers. Meanwhile, a music club will also open soon next to the Lwowek Slaski brewery in the Dolnoslaskie voivodship. Furthermore, as
Retail Update Poland previously informed, a tavern is planned along with a PLN 30m (€6.7m) brewery Mr Jakubiak will build in Darlowo (Zachodniopomorskie).
The construction of the new brewery should start in H2 2012 and it is to open around 2014. The Browar Darlowo brewery will be the largest in Mr Jakubiak’s group with a production capacity of 200,000 hl annually. It will produce a beer named Darlowiak that will be distributed throughout Poland.
