2008-10-21
The Polish cola market will be worth PLN 1.9bn (€535m) in 2008, reflecting 6.3% year-on-year growth, according to Euromonitor International estimates, quoted by Rzeczpospolita. Poles are expected to buy 800m litres of these drinks, i.e. 4% more than last year.
Demand for cola drinks, both regular and light, will continue to increase until 2011. Polish customers will consume 832.8m litres of cola over three years, and consumption will decline in 2012 to PLN 2.4bn (€676m).
At present, soft drinks producers are doing well on the Polish market. In the spring of this year Coca Cola introduced Cola Zero, a low calorie drink aimed at men. Red Bull, the energy drink producer, plans to launch a cola drink under the company’s name on the Polish market by the end of this year.
