The Polish clothing producer Prochnik is to shut down its factory in Lodz in December this year, according to Puls Biznesu. The company has already discharged 105 employees. The production is being relocated to Asia, as it has become unprofitable in Poland. Prochnik will focus on distribution and designing activities instead.
In mid-2008 the company revealed its plans to divide its structure into distribution and production branches with the intention to keep 15% of its production in Poland.
