Polish products gaining popularity on foreign markets

Polish products are gaining popularity abroad, according to Rzeczpospolita. By way of example, Rossmann, the German chain offering cosmetics, will start selling Lirene, the Polish cosmetics brand produced by Laboratorium Kosmetyczne Dr Irena Eris, in its 1,600 stores in Germany. In Great Britain, too, demand for Polish goods is increasing. At present, products from Poland are sold in 563 stores and in the next several weeks their number will rise by 80 establishments. British retail chains decided to sell Polish goods not only because of the Poles living in the UK, but due to the high quality and low prices of goods made in Poland.
Also Lidl, the German discount chain, sells Polish products in its supermarkets located in the European countries. In 2008-2009, the chain sold Polish goods for PLN 1bn (€246m) in nine European states.
Biedronka, Carrefour and Auchan also sell Polish products in their supermarkets located outside Poland. Entering foreign markets via large international chains is the easiest way for Polish manufacturers to establish a presence abroad.
