Profi focusing on organic growth
2010-08-06
Profi, a producer of ready made meals and pates, plans to focus on organic growth, as portalspozywczy.pl reported. The development is to be financed by the company’s own money, credits and EU funds. The producer does not intend to enter a stock market. At present, it focuses instead on broadening its offer.
Over the last two years, Profi has spent PLN 8m (€2m) on new machines and construction of a high bay storage facility. In 2010, it plans to invest another PLN 6.5m (€1.6m) for new machines and extension of a production hall. In 2011, it also intends to set up another high bay warehouse.
Ninety percent of Profi’s production is being sold in Poland, while 10% is exported to such countries as, among others, USA, Canada, Australia, Germany and Great Britain. At present, the company is also negotiating on entering the Bulgarian and
Romanian markets.
The pates generate 50% of the company’s sales revenues. Profi claims that it controls 50% of the pate market in Poland, which is worth around PLN 200m (€50m). In H1 2010, the company posted PLN 73m (€18m) of sales revenues.
