Mlekovita dairy will establish a joint venture with a Chinese company in order to construct a plant in Shanghai. The production is scheduled to commence in mid-2011 in China.
Galeria Wyszkow shopping gallery opened on 11 August in a centre of Wyszkow. A complex’s usable area is 11,000 m² occupied by stores, services points as well as cafes and restaurants.
Selgros, the wholesale company, has broadened its offer by eco fruits and vegetables. The organic packed products are available in the company’s six warehouses in Poland. Eventually, the eco fruits and vegetables will be sold in all 12 company’s facilities.
At the beginning of August 2010 Intermarche chain opened its store in Nowogard. The establishment has 700 m² and it operates in a new format recently introduced by the company under Contact name. At present, Intermarche chain is comprised of 148 stores in Poland.
By the end of July Milea delicatessen chain opened its store in Dwikozy, in the Swietokrzyskie voivodship. To date, the company opened seven new establishments in 2010.
Spar retail chain opened its first store in Poznan. The establishment operates in a franchise system and by the end of 2010 the chain plans to set up 30 franchise stores. At present, the Spar network is comprised of 60 stores in Poland.
Netto discount chain opened its store in Knurow, in the Slaskie voivodship. It is the company’s 196th establishment in Poland.
Piotr i Pawel delicatessen chain has introduced private label goods under Piotr i Pawel brand name. The products belong to the premium segment and are offered in such categories as ready meals, dairy goods and juices.
Bacowka, a chain offering traditional cold meats, will open four establishments in the nearest future. The stores will appear in Wegrzyce, Tarnowskie Gory and Kielce. In September 2010, the chain will also launch its first outlet located in the northern part of Poland, in Stargard Szczecinski. It will be the company’s 21st establishment.
Planeta Alkoholi, a chain offering alcoholic beverages, opened two new stores. The openings took place on 30 July and 6 August in Krakow. At present, the chain is comprised of 14 own and several dozen establishments.
Coffeeshop Company coffee chain opened its first franchise store in Poland. The cafe is located in Gliwice and another franchise opening is scheduled for Warsaw. The chain also has five own establishments, situated in Krakow (two), Warsaw, Poznan and Zielona Gora.
A construction of a new shopping gallery will commence in Zary in fall 2010. A complex will emerge on a site of former wool factory. It will house around 35 tenants as well as cafes and restaurants. 95% of the retail area has been already leased. An opening is scheduled for 2011.
GTC development firm plans to release around 250,000 m² of retail and office space in 2011-2012. In 2010, the company signed a contract with Polnord on cooperation in constructing a shopping gallery in Wilanow, Warsaw.
H&M leased 1,300 m² space in Galeria Gniezno shopping gallery in Gniezno. Jones Lang LaSalle works on the complex’s commercialisation.
Media Markt, the chain offering electronic equipment, will lease 3,300 m² in Galeria Victoria shopping gallery in Walbrzych. An opening of the complex, being developed by Keen Property Partners Retail, will take place on 16 October 2010.
