Browar Cornelius, a brewery offering beer produced in accordance with traditional recipes, plans to increase its production capacity, as Gazeta Prawna reported. Thanks to new production lines, the company will be able to double its production capacity. A modernisation is scheduled to be completed at the beginning of 2011. At present, the brewery manufactures 15,000 hl of beer a month.
The demand for Cornelius beer is rapidly increasing and without investments the brewery would not be able to keep up with the production. In H1 2010, the sales of Cornelius beer went up by 200% when compared to 2008. At present, the dynamic of sales totals to between 30-40% quarter on quarter.
The experts underline that the popularity for regional beers is growing significantly in Poland. Therefore, large beer concerns have decided to introduce such beers to their offer. By the way of example, Grupa Zywiec launched such brands as Krolewskie and Specjal.
