On 25 August, Martes Sport, a chain offering sports equipment, opened its 13th establishment in Poland. The store, of an area of 1,000 m², is located in Gemini Park in Tarnow.
By the end of 2010, Martes will have set up other three large-format stores in Poland. The establishments will be located in Galeria Victoria shopping gallery in Walbrzych (730 m²), Galeria Sanova in Przemysl (470 m²) and Galeria Agora in Bytom (650 m²).
The company’s strategy is to open its stores in the towns with a number of residents of between 50,000 and 200,000 and of retail area of between 300-600 m².
